Marilyn L. Nash

Nash – Marilyn L., 67, Johnstown. The world lost a beloved mother, Marilyn L. Nash, on December 20, 2021. She is survived by her loving son, who made up the entirety of her whole world, Cortez M. Haselrig. Marilyn was born in Johnstown, PA, on August 11, 1954 daughter of Samuel A. and Julia E. (Young) Nash. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl, James and Melvin; nephew, Andre Nash Sr., and sister-in-law, Debbie (Collier) Nash. Besides her son, Marillyn is survived by her grandson, Dradien M. Haselrig; sister, Deborah Nash, Johnstown; brothers, Jerome (Phyllis) Nash, Bowie, MD, Dale Nash, Junction City, KS, Derrick Nash, Clinton, MD, Brian Nash, Johnstown, and Mark (Kieko) Nash Sr., White Plains, MD; sister-in-law, Pamela Nash, Johnstown, and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including lifelong friends, Valerie Allen and Terri Jo Banks. Marilyn was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Business Management from St. Frances University. Marilyn retired from Penelec as an Account Receivable Specialist after over 20 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, Conemaugh, PA. Marilyn loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandson, Draiden. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev.
