Barber – Marguerite, J., “Marjean”, 94, Richland, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2026 at Concordia @ Arbutus Park. Born on July 24, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of Daniel C. and Sara E. (Zimmerman) McDonald. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard D., “Dick” Barber; son-in-law, Donald Parker; daughter-in-law, Nancy Barber, and brother-in-law, Steve Homan.
She is survived by her loving children, Steven (Rebecca) Barber, Janice Parker, and Sharon (Gary) Pfister; grandchildren, Jennifer (Christopher) Lieggi, Christopher (Amanda) Barber, Stephanie (Jeriah) McMillan, Mark (Kelly) Parker, Rachel (Patrick) Alexander, and Daniel, Jonathan, and Michael Pfister; great grandchildren, Maximus, Ezekiel, Esther, Meredith, Josiah, Talia, and Amelia, and several nieces and nephew.
Marjean was a 1951 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a member of the Penelec Amperes Club. Marjean was a past member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a current member of Belmont Community Church. Marjean volunteered at the food pantry at Franklin Street United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed playing games and cards with her family and friends. Marjean will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, July 31st, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon on Saturday, August 1st, at Belmont Community Church, with the Rev. Thomas W. Moore officiating. Entombment will be at Grandview Mausoleum. The family would like to thank Concordia @ Arbutus Park, Heartlands Hospice, and East Hills Oncology for their compassion and care, and suggests that contributions be directed to Concordia @ Arbutus Park Family Forever Fund, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 or Belmont Community Church, 107 Coldren St, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Marguerite.
