Lois E. Robinson

Robinson, Lois E., 85, of Arbutus Manor. Passed away on July 6, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Johnstown.
Daughter of Daniel Robert and Nora Pearl (Bracken) Davis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William S. and a brother, David Robert Davis. She is survived by her sons, David Michael and  James Emmett  Lively, both of Johnstown; sister, Esther Mae Pyne, Johnstown and nieces, Lois, wife of Leonard Laporta, Davidsville, Ann Nora Miller, Hewitt, TX and Patricia Pyne, Johnstown; also nephews, Richard and James Pyne, Johnstown. Lois was a 1944 graduate of Johnstown High School; 1944 member of the Cadet Nurse Corps and a 1947 graduate of Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 1960 from Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital where she was employed as a Head Nurse on the 2nd floor “Old Bethlehem Steel Section” and later as Director of Out Patient Clinic for a total of 15 years. Lois was a member of Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church. She enjoyed reading, bird watching and loved animals. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister and friend. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Sunday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Interment will be held Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church, 115 Oak Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909 in memory of Lois.
