BOBKOSKIE---Linda Jeanne (Eck), 77, Richland Township. Linda’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of creativity, love, friends and family. On June 23, 2025, in the comfort of her home, she put away her earthly projects, leaving behind a beautiful collection of memories, a close-knit loving family and ingeniously crafted treasurers for future generations. Born July 29, 1947, Williamsport, daughter of Eugene Jerome Jr. and Arlene Adele (LaPan) Eck. Preceded in death by parents; beloved husband, Russell Leon Bobkoskie and sister, Kathleen (Eck) Jameson and brother-in-law, David Shire. Survived by daughters, Cheryl (Kenneth) Chandler, Johnstown; Annette (Timothy) Zell, Lebanon, PA; and Danielle (Kevin) Pastorek, Johnstown; grandchildren, Veronica Johns, Savanna Johns, Harlan Chandler, Ira Chandler, Kyhlian (Jianmei) Rossell, Selena (Timothy) Merrick, Owen Zell, Nicholas (Kimberly) Marx, Gretchen (Ian) Kreider, Ethan Marx; great-grandchildren, Madilynn Wang, Elliot Wang, Oliver Czinka and Leo Merrick. Sister of Donald (Anita) Eck, Cohocton, NY, Carol Shire, Niagara Falls, NY; Phyllis (Stephen Jr.) Frey, Partlow, VA; Stephen (Rebecca) Eck, La Vista, NE; Gail (John) Nordlof, Milton, WI; Sharon (Jan) Faust, S. Williamsport, PA; Joyce (Roman) Szymberski, Milton, WI; Cynthia (Mike) Mussina, Williamsport, PA; and Michael (Ruth) Eck, Clarks Summit, PA. Also survived by special family friends, Melanie and Russell Feather and their children, Matthew, Andrew and Robert. Linda was a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Williamsport, PA. During high school, she worked at the Carroll House and at her great-aunt’s and uncle’s produce stand in the Market House, both in Williamsport. Linda worked for the Bell Telephone Company, Williamsport, as a Senior Clerk in the Engineering Department and as an auto title clerk where her future father-in-law, Leon introduced her to Russ. Additionally, she held positions in retail, as a secretary, and as a floral designer. Linda was a member of the Garden Club of Johnstown since 1980. She served as President from 1987-1988. She served on many committees on the local, district and state level. She served as District VI Director during 1993-1994. She was a life member of both the National Garden Club and the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania. Her horticulture and floral designs won many flower show awards. Linda was a member of the Johnstown Rifle and Pistol Club since 1994. She served as Vice President and By-laws Chairman. She was an instructor for the Junior Rifle Safety Program for 12 years. She was honored with the club’s Leo Vroble Award. Linda was a member of the Greater Johnstown Postcard club, where she served as Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the Salix Stitchers. Linda’s hobbies include gardening, any craft that involved a needle—embroidery, cross-stitch, crewel, some knitting, quilting, making quilts, wall-hangings, purses, jackets and holiday decorations. In 1994, she started a family newsletter called the ECKS-PRESS. She made personalized greeting cards on her computer….blessed are all those who received one or more. Linda loved to decorate for all the holidays, especially Easter and Christmas. With several rare health conditions, Linda showed remarkable strength and resilience in adapting to the challenges. She was cheerful with a lilting infectious laugh. She always met you with a smile. She had a joy and love of the Lord and of life. Linda was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. She participated in their Ladies Workshop and attended their Adult Ed classes. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where vigil will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 1, 2025 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal, Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville, PA.
