CALPIN—Linda Louise, 65 East Taylor Township, died on November 4, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born December 28, 1954, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Irene E. (Solomon) Yanko. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband of 47 years, Michael Calpin, whom she married April 20, 1974; children, Lisa Leckey, Johnstown, Michael Calpin Jr. and wife Celena, Bon Air, Melanie Gilbert and husband, Michael, Wheeling, IL, grandchildren, Jayden and Summer Leckey, Johnstown, Amelia and Shane Calpin, Bon Air, Declan and baby girl Gilbert who is due in January, Wheeling, IL. Sister of Peter T. Yanko and wife, Sharon (Mastervich), Johnstown, Beverly I. Poole, Johnstown, Maryann J. Yanko, East Taylor Township, Audrey I. Yanko, East Taylor Township, George S. Yanko and wife, Anna (Amenti), East Taylor Township and Thomas F. Yanko, East Taylor Township; also survived by sister-in-law, Debbie (Joseph) Balaschak, Johnstown and brother-in-law, Richard (Joyce) Calpin, Johnstown. 1972 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. She worked alongside her father and brothers for 42 years at Yanko Brothers Trucking. She was co-owner of Six-Pacs-N-More, East Taylor Township. She volunteered as an EMT and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of East Taylor Township Fire Co. Linda was a previous member of the East Taylor Water Authority and was passionate about cooking, decorating and QVC. She loved to have family for dinner every Sunday and enjoyed working late night hours with Anna at “The Six Pac.” Many special thanks to sisters Maryann and Audrey for aiding in her care. Thank you to our special angels Rhonda and Monique. Special thanks also to Windber Hospice—especially Melanie and Tiffany. Linda was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, where Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2020, with Fr. Robert C. Hall. Committal will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family is being served by Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to East Taylor Township Fire Co. or Windber Hospice, in memory of Linda L. Calpin. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory.
