Lila Marie Wood

Wood, Lila Marie, 96, of Belmont, formerly of Summerhill, Pa. Died Feb. 10, 2020, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Sept. 23, 1923, in Summerhill. Daughter of the late Sewell and Fannie (Griffith) Claycomb. Also preceded in death by siblings; Harper, Charlotte Harris, Sewell, Frank, Lenora Burtnett and Joseph. Survived by four sons; Gary (Marge), Robert (Midge), Raymond (Suzanne) and Leland. Grandchildren; Hannah, Courtney, Christopher, Anthony, Andrea, Kirstin and Katie. Also, two Great Grandchildren; Sister of Phyllis Dillon; Aunt to Sewell, Sally and Eileen.  Lila was a licensed practical nurse at Conemaugh Medical Center for 25 years. Member of Christ Lutheran Church along Elknud Lane in Westmont. Lila was a strong woman who raised four boys on her own in Johnstown and all graduated from college. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday Feb. 13, 2020, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Mother’s Day, May 10, 2020, at Christ Lutheran Church. Pastor Julia Sprenkle, officiating. Private inurnment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
