Lester R. Good

GOOD---Lester R., 92, Richland, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born October 28, 1933, in Hollsopple, son of Clyde L. and Ada J. (Blough) Good. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Virgil, Robert, Clyde, Paul and Carl. Survived by wife of 68 years, Delores. A. “Dorie” (Yurkovich), children, Deborah (Vince) Sgroi, Richland; Christine (Jerry) Rohde, Richland; Scott (Alice) Good, Salix; Lisa (Mark) Miller, Richland; grandchildren, Amanda Sgroi (Joseph Thompson); Cami Good (Yazeed Sweedan); Marissa Rohde; Caitlyn Miller; Emily Good (Nick Skelly); Abigail Miller; Rebecca Rohde (Ian Perras); Isebella Miller and Adam Good; great-grandchildren, Sloane Thompson and Joseph Thompson. Brother of Marjorie Hoffman and husband, William Wagner, Salix and Betty Shaffer, Richland. Also survived by in-laws, Gloria Penatzer (William), Rodney Peterson and William Yurkovich (Karen). Lester was a US Army veteran. He retired from Schmidt Baking Co. after many years of service. He was an avid woodworker and sold his items at craft shows. He loved gardening and caring for his yard. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Flood City and Jayco Camping Clubs. He was a member of Geistown-Richland Lions Club for 53 years, serving in all club offices all the way to the District 14J Governorship where he served two terms. He was a board member of the Beacon Lodge. Lester chaired two district 14J conventions. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where vigil service will held at 5 p.m. and Lions Club service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at the funeral home with Fr. David S. Peles officiating. Committal, Richland Cemetery. Military graveside rites by Menoher VFW, Post #155 ritual team.
