Costlow---Kenneth D. "Ken," 71, Johnstown, passed away on December 14, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born September 16, 1947, in Johnstown, the first-born son of Kenneth T. and Dorothy (Gradwohl) Costlow. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, Catherine (Kawa); brothers, Joseph (Audrey), Gary (Debbie), Yale (Suzanne), Tim (Theresa), Greg, and sister, Debbie Richards, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1966-1969. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. He received the Combat Action Ribbon (Vietnam), Meritorious Unit Commendation with one Bronze Star, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Campaign Stars, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross Color with palm and frame) Ribbon Bar, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation (Civil Action Color with palm and frame) Ribbon Bar, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Ken retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation's Wire Department and Johnstown Wire Technologies. He was Commander of the Johnstown Disabled American Veterans, member of the Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287, Marine Corps League, and Vietnam Veterans of America Laurel Highlands Chapter #364, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Turner Hall, member of Geistown Borough's Civil Service Commission, Daisytown Sportsmen's Club, and Flood City Corvette Club. Ken enjoyed working on antique and classic cars, particularly 1957 Chevys. He will be missed by close friends, Art Boring and Dave Fuller. At Ken's request, there will be no viewing. Burial at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ken's name to Johnstown Chapter #2 of Disabled American Veterans, 3742 Graham Ave., Windber, PA 15963 or Vietnam Veterans of America, Laurel Highlands Chapter #364, P.O.
