Kathryn Lee Krivach

Krivach - Kathryn Lee “Katie”, 38, of Richland, went to be with the Lord peacefully on December 23, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on October 23, 1981, in Johnstown, daughter of Timothy and Laura E. (Caroff) Krivach, Richland. Preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Julia A. Caroff; paternal grandparents, John Jr. and Margaret (Kristoff) Krivach; uncle, Robert Krivach and aunt, Patricia Krivach. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Mary (Ryan) Mohr of Sykesville, MD. Her niece and nephew are Madelyn and Henry Mohr. She is also survived by her grandfather, Gilbert E. Caroff of Ann Arbor, MI., as well a number of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friend, Barbara Smith. Katie graduated from Richland High School in 1999 and attended Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center. As an adult, she worked at Goodwill Industries in Johnstown and for PA Association for the Blind in both Ebensburg and Johnstown. Katie took great joy in athletics through Special Olympics, with a special emphasis on skiing, bowling, and track and field. She was a lover of arts and crafts, and over the years enjoyed activities at Camp PARC. Katie also loved spending time with friends. For Katie, nothing was more enjoyable than spending time with family, especially her niece and nephew, Madelyn and Henry. Travel was also a favored activity, as was playing with her cats, Drama and Nittany. She and her dad loved watching Penn State and Steelers football. Eighties music was her favorite genre. Friends received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at Harris Funeral Home, Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Dr. Ext, Johnstown, PA 15904 or to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Kathryn.
