Visovsky – Julia, 91, Franklin Borough, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2020 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born on December 9, 1928 in East Conemaugh Borough, daughter of John and Mary (Serednyanski) Petriska. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicholas G.; siblings, Mike, Alex, Pete, John, Charlie, and George; sisters, Ann Onufer, Mary “Mar” Oreskovich, and Elizabeth “Liz” Karan. She is survived by her loving children, Rick G. (Cyndi), Princeton Junction, NJ, Mary Ann (Karl K.) Brustle, Hollidaysburg, and Ellen Marie (Jeff) Visovsky-Ondris, Vienna, VA; grandchildren, Kent and Julie Brustle and Richard and Caroline Visovsky; sister-in-law, Florence Visovsky, Brooklyn, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Julia was a graduate of East Conemaugh High School. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church for 91 years. Julia enjoyed fishing with her late husband and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, going on picnics, sitting on her porch swings, and going to the beach with her family. Julia attended St. Mary’s Polka Fest every year and loved listening to “Polka Time” every Sunday. She also enjoyed going to the casinos to play the slots with her family and friends. Julia will be fondly remembered for her spaghetti sauce and pickled red beets, which she hated canning every fall! 😊 Due to current heath conditions, there will be no public viewing. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev. Dr. Robert F. Oravetz. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. The family suggests contributions be directed to Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, 217 Fourth Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909 in memory of Julia.
