Joseph R. "Joe" Porter

PORTER---Joseph R. “Joe,” 80, Richland, passed away on February 3, 2026 at home with his loving wife by his side. Born October 11, 1945, in Johnstown, son of the late Andrew and Constance (LaPorta) Porter. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, George Fesko. Survived by wife of 57 years, Elaine C. (Boryk) Porter; loving daughter, Tara Adams and husband Eric, Upper Yoder; grandchildren Trevor and Tessa Adams; sisters-in-law, Annette Fesko and Barbara Verbano and husband, Russell; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was a 1964 graduate of Johnstown High School. He was a travelling salesman for P.W. Minor Shoe Company. He enjoyed doing lawn work, riding his motorcycle and going to festivals with his grandchildren whom he adored. At Joe’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
