Johnny J.R. Rogers

ROGERS—Johnny “J.R.,” 61, Ferndale, passed away at his home on Nov. 3, 2018, surrounded by his family. Born June 21, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to Leslie Glenn Rogers and Frances Ann (Richards) Perry, Ohio. Preceded in death by father, Franklin Perry; maternal grandparents, Carl and Verna Richards; paternal grandparents, Vincent and Dora Leadmon. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Brandy (Ragno) Rogers; daughters, Julia (Jason) Puckett, Oregon and Sara Snyder, Nazareth, PA; grandsons, Bryce and Chase Snyder, and Kevin Puckett. Brother of Vicki (Rick) Vanover, Ohio; Vanita (Kelly) Butler, Florida; Frank (Helen) Perry, Ohio and Jeff Rogers and fiancé Kim, Ohio. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. J.R. was a 1975 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School. He was employed as a chef at Chuckwagon Restaurant and Catering for many years. He loved spending time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren, fishing, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Penguins. A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday November 7, 2018 at The Harmonie Singing Society, 87 Suppes Ave., Johnstown.
