One of my fondest memories of Officer Orris was when I was coming off of 219 onto Scalp Ave. near Market Basket. I had a tire blow out. I was a new mom and had my baby in the car. I managed to safely get into the KFC parking lot. He saw what happened and came and changed my tire for me. I also used to work at Valley Dairy and he was always one of my favorite customers.
Sometimes he'd put on a hard exterior, but he definitely had a kind and gentle soul. (He always told me not to tell anyone that) Sorry, but a lot of people had that figured out, Officer Orris! He will most certainly be missed in the community.
