John L. McDonald

McDonald- John L., “Mac” or “Bearman”, 73 of Windber. Became an angel on July 4, 2019. Born on May 14th 1946 in Johnstown, PA, son of the late Herbert and Esther (Geist) McDonald. Also preceded in death by his brother Herbert McDonald Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Martha (Freeman) McDonald of 52 years; children Tracy (Dan) Williams and John (Leslie) McDonald; grandchildren Jessica, Joey, Nicolas, and Rylie. Brother-in-law of Kent and Dorothy McClain. 1966 graduate of Richland High School. Retired from US Steel Corporation and Johnstown Corporation. John enjoyed spending time with his wife camping, being with his grandchildren, woodworking, and golfing. Friends received from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm time of service Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, (Richland), Johnstown. Pastor Brian Simmons, officiating. Private interment.
