John W. Lowery

Lowery, John W., 76, of Westmont, passed away on December 15, 2011 at the Allegheny Lutheran Home. He was born on September 23, 1935 in Johnstown. Son of Walter and Marie (Wilson) Lowery. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Belle and Ruth and an infant sister, June; and brothers, Paul and Marshall. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, M. Delores Lowery, Westmont; daughter, Lisa A. wife of Jason Tremper, Succasunna, NJ; grandsons, John and Tyler Tremper; sister, Betty wife of Paul Rininger, Richland Township; brother, Roger married to the former Linda Reighard, East Conemaugh and several nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of Johnstown High School. He was a US Army Veteran. John was employed as a Draftsman at the Crane Company, Johnstown and then moved to Parsippany, NJ where retired from C.E. Lummis Company, Bloomfield, NJ, where he was employed as a Senior Draftsman. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and especially loved spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 5-7 P.M. on Sunday and from noon until time of service at 1 P.M. on Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Robert Abarno, Chaplain at the Allegheny Lutheran Home, officiating. Interment will be at Lillydale Cemetery, Lilly, PA with military rites conducted by Menoher Post # 155 VFW Ritual Team.
