LEVENTRY---Joan M., 90, Elton, died May 11, 2019, at home. Born March 23, 1929, in Windber, daughter of the late Edward and Johanna (Galvin) Lewis. Preceded in death by husband, Charles W. Leventry, daughter, Debbie Allison and brothers, James, Theodore and Edward Lewis. Survived by children, Timothy C. (Ruth) Leventry, Mark W. (Kim) Leventry and Daniel J. (Marsha) Leventry, and son-in-law, Bruce W. Allison; grandchildren, Scott W. (Marcy) Allison, Jennifer J. (Mark) Beatty, Lea D. (Matt) Kleespies, Jerad K. Leventry, Amy L. (Neal) Diehl, Lisa A. (Shane) Dragan, Charles M. (Elise) Leventry, Brogan L. (Thomas) Hunter, Alexis Leventry, Madison Leventry, Maximus J. Leventry, Harper M. Leventry; great-grandchildren, Connor and Keeley Beatty, Piper and Isla Allison, Luke and Benjamin Kleespies, George Diehl, Grant and Dallas Dragan (Twins). She graduated from Windber High School and Windber Hospital School of Nursing. She was a very generous, caring and loving mother and grandmother who loved to celebrate Christmas and holidays with family. She was an active long-term member of Elton United Methodist Church and its Ladies Group. Mom played pinochle in her card club for many years with her close friends. She loved her children and supported us in all we did. Mom will be sorely missed. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Elton Zion United Methodist Church, Elton, with Pastor Daryl Penrod officiating. Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
