Jennifer Dawn "Jenn" Vizzini

September 16, 1979 — April 17, 2023

Conway, South Carolina

VIZZINI---Jennifer Dawn (Cummings) “Jenn,” 43, Conway, South Carolina, formerly of Johnstown, lost her long battle with cancer April 17th, 2023 at her home in Conway, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 16th, 1979, in Somerset, Pennsylvania, daughter of Jerry Cummings and Shari (Rayman) Cummings. Preceded in death by her Pap, Calvin Cummings; Gram, Diane Cummings, with whom she had a very special bond; Grandfather, Edgar Rayman Sr. and Mother-in-Law, Mary “Toni” Vizzini. Survived by her adoring husband of nearly 20 years, Eric Vizzini; her loving sons, Tyler and Marc Vizzini; her parents, Jerry and Shari Cummings; her sisters, Heather Cummings (Larry Donaldson) and Sara Cummings; Maternal grandmother, Mary Rayman; Father-in-Law, James C. Vizzini Sr.; Brothers-in-Law, James C. Jr. (Kayo), Vincent (Pamela), Dale and Robert (Cindy); Nieces, Destiny Cummings, Brianna, Paige, Quintessa and Kalista Vizzini; Nephews, Alex Donaldson, John Steele, Shane, Mitchell, Alan and Luke Vizzini; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Jenn grew up in Summerhill, Pennsylvania. She spent countless hours with her sister and best friend, Heather. They loved spending their teenage years driving around aimlessly and listening to music. Jenn met Eric shortly after high school while working at Toys “R” Us. They were fast friends and soon became inseparable soulmates. They married in 2003 and she referred to him as her lobster.  Jenn was so excited to become a mom and she loved her boys unconditionally.  She loved to be involved and was a volunteer, class mom and ardent supporter of St. Benedict and Divine Mercy Catholic School and Bishop McCort High School.  Whether it was sushi, soup, or Sheetz nachos, she loved bonding with friends over meals.  There was never a cat or dog that Jenn met that she didn’t like, and she had many pets over the years.  She loved the beach, the zoo, boutique shopping, games, puzzles, Yahtzee with her Gram, doing her nails, and finding the perfect accents to complete every room in her house.  She enjoyed all music but loved the 80’s and always reminisced about growing up with Friday Night Videos.  In 2017, she participated with friends in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60-Mile Walk to raise money for breast cancer, after previously beating the disease once already. Jenn was a graduate of Conemaugh School of Nursing and a bedside nurse on adult and geriatric psych units at Conemaugh Hospital.  She went on to become a home health nurse with Heritage Home Health and a hospice nurse for Penn Hospice where she made an indelible mark on her patients.  Most recently she was a nurse manager of clinical practice at CenterWell Home Health (formerly Kindred at Home).  Her coworkers there became more than colleagues, more than friends, but a second family who supported her until her last breath.  Through the course of many treatments, she became close to the doctors, nurses and staff at the CMC Cancer Treatment Center and she was so grateful for all the love and support she received from them. Jenn fought cancer with the strength and dignity that most of us can only imagine having.  Her smile could light up a room and her humor and laughter were infectious.  She made an impact on everyone she met and will never be forgotten.  Her memory will live on through her boys, her husband, her family, and the many, many people who will carry a part of her throughout their lives. Jenn’s family held a visitation for the friends they made during their time in South Carolina. They will hold a visitation from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, with Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Geistown. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
