Jeanne M. Kovach

Kovach – Jeanne M., 90, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord comfortably at home on August 19, 2025. Born on January 15, 1935 in Johnstown, daughter of William M. and Frances M. (McMullen) Mills. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Julius W. Kovach; sister, Marlene A. Rzasa; brother, Ronald W. Mills; sister-in-law, Joanne Mills, and a Niece, Melinda Ann Rzasa.

She is survived by her loving 10 children, George (Barb), Denice, who was her caregiver, Janet (Richard), Mary Lou (Gary), Elizabeth (David), Jacqueline, Thomas (Kathy), Jeanne (Pat), Frances, and Richard; numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; niece, and several nephews.

Jeanne was a graduate of the former Johnstown Catholic High School. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. John Gualbert Cathedral. Jeanne was also a member and past President of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Circle. She retired from the Econo Lodge after many years of service as a night Auditor. Jeanne enjoyed cook outs, bus trips, holiday dinners, and listening to the bag pipes. She loved spending time with her entire family and will be missed by so many. Jeanne’s family would like to thank everyone who assisted her, especially 365 Hospice.

Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 28th, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 29th, at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Very Reverend Matthew Baum, Pastor. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery.
