LOZANOFF – Mrs. Janet M. (Cox), 83, Laurel View Village, Davidsville, died August 31, 2025, at the Village. Born March 2, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Robert L and Vera M. (Sorchilla) Cox. Also preceded in death by infant son, Robert Michael, and sister, Kathleen “Kathy” (Cox) Delusa. Survived by loving and caring husband of 63 years, Richard, and two children, Charlene (Lozanoff) Sutor (Joseph), Hummelstown, and Michael Lozanoff (Jeanine), Harrisburg; also survived by grandchildren Bailey and Ian Lozanoff and Thomas Sutor, sister Darla (Cox) Seth (Joseph) and brother David Cox (Christine) of Johnstown and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Janet was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and Cambria Rowe Business College. She was a former employee of several local insurance agencies and was an active volunteer with Helping Hands and other St. Benedict church ministries. Janet was devout in her faith, which gave her strength and comfort during difficult and trying times. She loved travelling; some of her favorite trips were to Hawaii, Europe, and especially, Williamsburg. Janet’s greatest joy however, came from being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and hosting countless family gatherings. Her holiday parties are still memorable to many and were always full of laughter and love. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 12, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Richland, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Entombment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
