Billie and Family,

My sincere sympathy to all of you. I do not have an address, so I could not send you a card. It was a true honor and pleasure to know you and Jim for the 5-6 years we were neighbors. My prayers are with you.

Jimmy. Jimmy, Jimmy, the stalwart on the end stool at Betty Moose's breakfast shift at the old Valley Dairy, calmly smoothing out the loud gruffness of Fred, and Alex Popp, and Chiz, and other foolish regulars, later (when Valley Dairy retired the stools) taking over our booth just inside the door to hear Robert's recounting of yesterday's politics, Chiz, and Lou, tolerating a young professor's glib pokings with a wry smile and warming instantly to inquiries after little Beth gone to the big city. Dearly missed - Lou and I raised our cups to him this morning in fond memory.
