James A. Karl

Karl – James A., 89, Richland. Died July 1, 2021, at Windber Hospice. Born June 28, 1932, in Johnstown. Son of the late John and Frances (Smith) Karl. Also preceded in death by; brothers John F.; Charles W. “Bill”; and Bruce Karl. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, the former Dorothy Gahagen; children: James, married to Mary Wolfhope, New Cumberland; Janet, wife of William Davis, Carrolltown; and Thomas, married to Laurie Herdman, Richland; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Reighard, Sidman; Nancy Hebel, FL; and brother, Don, AZ. Jim was a retired truck driver. Member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed. At Jim’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. A private service with inurnment at Oak Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Windber Hospice.
