James P. Heilmann

Heilmann, James P., 74, of Geistown. Died Jan. 20, 2021, at home. Born Oct. 27, 1946, in Johnstown. Son of David B. and Agnes L. (Wiesheier) Heilmann. Preceded in death by parents; and step-father, Rudy Pristow. Survived by wife of 51 years, Kathleen A. (Ramsey); children, Bryan D. Heilmann, and Melissa R. and husband Bob Lingle. Grandchildren, Derek, Dylan, Samantha and Paige. Great grandchildren, Christian and Athena. Brother of David J., Mark, and Marilyn Wingard. 1964 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and 1973 graduate of Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey, PA. Retired from Richland Township Police Dept. with 38 years’ service. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown and F.O.P. Lodge 86. Jim struggled for ten years enduring much pain as a paraplegic with a strong faith and admirable courage. Visitation from 11 am to 1 pm Monday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private inurnment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
