Baserman, James W. “Jim”, 84, of Johnstown. Died June 8, 2011. Born Feb. 3, 1927, in Johnstown. Son of the late Harry F. and Margaret (O’Farrell) Baserman. Survived by wife of 61 years, Lucille A. Cenney and sons; Mark J. and Paul W., Johnstown. Brother of Ruth Adams, Marjorie Metzler, Wayne Baserman and Marilyn Krieger. Also many nieces, nephews and beloved dog, “Noah”. World War II Navy Veteran and served on the Heavy Cruiser USS Los Angeles. Retired as supervisor of taxes at former Penelec with 41 years’ service. Member and usher at  St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown and Msgr. James E. Fitzgibbon Council # 8244, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree.  No public visitation, however, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11 am Saturday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Grandview Cemetery with Menoher Post # 155, VFW Ritual Team. Family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
