Hildegarde Miller

MILLER---Hildegarde (Kmetz), 78, Richland Township, passed away on Dec. 6, 2021, at home. Born February 3, 1943, in Johnstown, daughter of the late John L. and Catherine (Masorjak) Kmetz. Preceded in death by first husband, James M. Kurchak, second husband, Rodney K. Miller and one great-grandson. Survived by husband, Gary F. Weslager, whom she married April 14, 2021; children, John (Donna) Miller, Brenda (Bob) Welch, Lisa (Joe) Szczur, Eric (LeAnn) Miller, Kristina (Victor) Santangelo, Alan (Terri) Miller and Jeffrey (Kim) Miller; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of Kathryn (Andrew) Dubnansky and Marilyn (Robert) Lohr. Hildegarde was a 1960 graduate of Johnstown High School. She retired from Arbutus Manor with 20 years of service. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where she was a Lector for 44 years, a rosary maker and worked church reunions for many years. She served and was the first female member of Geistown Borough Council and she was also the first female cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 25. Friends received 2-8 pm Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S.
