Hilda A. Natta

Natta – Hilda A., 73, Richland, went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2019. Born on August 31, 1946 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Bernice (Carlson) Salla. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; sister, Jenny Wojcik. She is survived by her loving daughters, Cheri L (Robert) Aiman, Pittsburgh and Melanie S. Schaefer, Richland; grandchildren, Kristin Marie Gasser, Pittsburgh, Gary Joseph Schaefer, Portage, WI, and Breana L. Schaefer, Richland, and numerous nieces and nephews. Hilda was a graduate of  Conemaugh Township High School. She retired from the Social Security Administration after 41 years of service. Hilda was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling to casinos and playing BINGO. Hilda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Friends will be received from noon – 1 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Hilda.
