Woolf, Helen, 92, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2019. Born February 3, 1927 in Franklin Boro. Daughter of George and Helen (Masich) Yanko. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward L. Woolf; siblings, Ann Boryk, Mary Michnya, Frank, George, Steve, John, Pete, and Mike. Survived by loving children, Richard E. Woolf, with whom she resided, and Deborah C. (Tom) Marshall, all of East Conemaugh; grandchildren, Jackie Korhut, Kelly Reck, Sam, Luke, Rory, and Kyle Marshall; great grandchildren, Kendall and Eric Korhut; sister, Betty, wife of the late John Fetcik; sisters-in-law, Irene Yanko, Gail Yanko, Jean Filia, and Janet Donnelly; brother-in-law, Ronald (Peggy) Woolf and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen attended Franklin High School. She married Eddie in 1951. Helen was employed at the former Monte Carlo Restaurant and the Golden Key Lounge in Johnstown and later retired as a Dental Technician. She was politically active and served as a chairperson in the Democratic Party in East Conemaugh for numerous years. Helen was a deeply religious person and was a life time member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Conemaugh. She loved her yearly visits with her family at the Jersey Shore. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. At Helen’s request, there will be no public viewing. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev. Dr. Robert F. Oravetz. Committal will be at the church cemetery. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Home, Conemaugh. The family suggests contributions be directed to Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, 217 Fourth Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909 in memory of Helen.
