Hattie M. Berkey

Berkey – Hattie M., 89, Richland, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2026. Born on August 25, 1936 in Lovely, daughter of the late Harry and Trella (Carroll) Berkey.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale A. Berkey; brothers, Carl (Imagene), Enos, Emory (Phyllis), Shimer, Raymond, Robert, Roy, Joe, and Anson; sisters, Ruth (Telford) Blough, Grace Berkey, and Emma Berkey; son-in-law, Robert Allison; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald, Paul (Sarah) and Wade (Madeline), and Thelma, Wyona (Galen) Shaffer, and Bev Berkey.

Survived by loving children, Kathy Allison, Windber; Ron (Tammy) Berkey, Richland, Linda (Jeff) Bivens, Richland; grandchildren, Mike (Kim) Allison and Travis (Meghan) Allison, Jessica (Dustin) Siplivy, Jody (P.J.) Gustkey, Chrissy Berkey, Nikkie Bivens, and her fiancé, Jeremy Reimert and Dan (Vicky) Bivens; and 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Chet (Barb) Berkey, Fishertown; sister-in-law, Shirley Berkey, State College; brother-in-law, Feryl Berkey, Richland, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hattie was a member of Bethany Church of Richland and Solomon Run Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very caring and loving woman who enjoyed camping, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. Hattie was appreciated by many and held dear in the hearts of all those who met her. She will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at noon, with Rev. Adam Dotts officiating. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Villa Crest Personal Care Home, 1451 Frankstown Road, Johnstown, PA 15902, in memory of Hattie.
