Harold M. Kaseler

KASELER – Harold M., 84, Conemaugh Township in Cambria County, went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2025 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on February 6, 1941 in Johnstown, son of Max and Gerda (Rosskopf) Kaseler. Preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-laws, Susan Kaseler and Kathy Keyser; nephews, Benjamin Kaseler and Jeffrey Keyser. Harold is survived by: sons, James M. Kaseler, married to the former Mary Krestar, Johnstown and Joseph M. Kaseler, married to the former Sarah Sutliff, Chagrin Falls, OH; grandchildren, Lexi, Zack, Sydney and Jordan Kaseler, Amanda (Cody) Sliko, and Marley and Maddie Gabriel; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Baylee, Audrey and Cora; brothers, William “Bill” (Jean) and Carl both of Johnstown; numerous nephews and nieces; former wife Sarah J. Thompson and other loving family members. He was a graduate of East Conemaugh High School as well as the University of Pittsburgh. Harold retired from the Greater Johnstown School District where for approximately 35 years he primarily taught various math classes. He was a member and enjoyed being an usher at Zion Lutheran Church. Harold also enjoyed: RV camping, snowmobiling, coaching t-ball and little league baseball (East Suburban and Conemaugh Valley Youth League), spending time with his family and going to his grandkids sporting events and concerts, walking and meeting new people at the Galleria Mall as well as Walmart, reading the Bible, watching Westerns on INSP, and most importantly to him sending Christmas / birthday and other special occasion cards to what seems to be everyone (he couldn’t pass up a Hallmark or Dollar General store to shop for additional special occasion greeting cards). Family and Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday June 22, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and viewing again from 9 – 9:45 a.m. Monday June 23, 2025 at the Zion Lutheran Church Chapel immediately followed by the Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 613 Locust Street, Johnstown, PA 15901 with the Reverend Michael Van Dyke officiating. Committal will be at Johnstown Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1530 Frankstown Road – 15902). The family suggests contributions (in lieu of flowers) be directed to either: Zion Lutheran Church, 613 Locust Street, Johnstown, PA 15901 or Conemaugh Valley Youth League, Rear 1017 Pine Street, Johnstown, PA 15909 for upcoming field fence and other maintenance improvement projects in memory of Harold.
