Gary E. Reynolds

Reynolds, Gary E., 63, of Mineral Point, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2012. He was born on March 26, 1948 in Johnstown. Son of the late Edward and Helen (Shoemaker) Reynolds. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by baby sister, Mary and a brother-in-law, Thomas Snyder. He is survived by his loving siblings, Janet Snyder and Tim Reynolds both of Mineral Point and Diane and Barbara Reynolds both of Easton, PA; nephews, Scott (Michele) Snyder and David Snyder all of Altoona; girl friend, Kim Wright, Johnstown; aunts, Terese Vairo, NY, Mary Shoemaker, OH and Betts Shoemaker, Johnstown; numerous cousins; many friends and his beloved, faithful companion, Amy. Gary was a 1965 graduate of East Conemaugh High School and went on to graduate from Penn State University in 1969. He was a member of AA for over 30 years and an active volunteer for the environment, literacy and community organizations. Gary enjoyed music, reading, people and volunteering. Gary loved all Pittsburgh sports. At Gary’s request there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. on Friday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Father Robert C. Hall. Private inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Church of the Transfiguration, 335 Second Street, Johnstown, PA 15909, or to Conemaugh Regional Hospice, 315 Locust Street, Suite 5E, Johnstown, PA 15901, or to the Cambria County Library, 248 Main Street, Johnstown, PA 15901 in memory of Gary.
