Long, Gary, 73, of Richland. Died July 22, 2017, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born July 27, 1943, in Johnstown. Son of the late James W. and Mae E. (Clark) Long. Also preceded in death by sister Jolene Long and brother James Long. Survived by wife, Beverly A. (Herdman); children, Kimberly (Michael) Wolford, St. Louis, MO; James (Linda) Long, Ladson, SC; Douglas (Cristin) Long, State College, PA; and Melissa (Jason) Waller, Abingdon, MD; grandchildren, Liam, Hayden, Anna and Kaylee. Gary retired from the Open Hearth Dept., Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Johnstown; PNA, Harmonie Singing Society, Conemaugh Eagles; and was an avid Penn State and Steelers fan. No public viewing, however family and friends received from 11 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 PM Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane Richland. Fr. Douglas Blakelock, officiating.
