Fred D. Saintz

SAINTZ, Fred DeWayne, Born September 19, 1927 – Died May 29, 2022 Preceded in death by parents, Edward P. and Ethel Rebecca (Allison) Saintz, sister Ethel Mae Ebey, brothers, Edward P. Saintz, Jr., Robert and wife, Mary Jane (Frum) Saintz. He was the last of his immediate family and will join his beloved wife, Jane, of 69 years. He is survived by his children, Marsha (Alan) Lessig, Jeffrey (Stacy) Saintz and Mindy (Paul) Leonard. His grandchildren, David (Nora Jane), Daniel (Julia) and Samuel (Rebecca) Saintz, Jesse, Abigail, and Benjamin (Lauren) Leonard. His great-grandchildren, Abigail, Trevor, Adam, TJ, Belle, Violet and William Saintz along with Lucas, Margaret, Calvin and Anna Jane Leonard. He was a graduate of Ferndale High School, Class of 1945. Fred was a retiree from Bethlehem Steel where he was a Cost Analyst. He served as a member of the Richland School Board. Fred was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Morrellville and a member of the Official Board for many years. He was a Master Mason and a member in good standing of the Greater Johnstown Lodge #538, F&AM serving as District Deputy Grand Master for the 41st Masonic District of Pennsylvania for 10 years. His Masonic journey consisted of the following bodies; Capitular and Cryptic Masons, Knights Templar, The Red Cross of Constantine, Jaffa Shrine, Jesters and attained his 33rd degree in Scottish Rite. Friends received 5-8 pm, Friday, June 3 and from 10 to time of Funeral Service at 11 am Saturday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane Richland. Pastor Jesse Robinson from Christian Church of Waterford, officiating. Interment at Richland Cemetery. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers that have treated Fred in the last 4 months. We appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness.
