SAYLOR – Franklin D., “Frank,” 90, of Davidsville. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 3, 2023 at Good Sam Department of Conemaugh Medical Center. Born July 4, 1933 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County. Son of the late William Henry and Lydia Edna (Yoder) Saylor. Also preceded in death by grandson Michael Saylor, great granddaughter Laurel and  siblings, William Jr., Beatrice Blough, James, Violet Wible, Robert, John,  Betty Layton, and Beulah Johns. Survived by wife of 66 years, Leona Pearl (Mack); children, Jacqueline D. (William) Kulback, Sherri L. (Carl) Myers, Gary D. (Janet) Saylor, Roxann (George) Guaetta and Lydia (Peter) Thomas. Also 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Brother of Nancy Shaffer and Roberta Bowman; and sister-in-law, Betty Saylor. A direct descendant of Joseph Johns. Frank was a Korean Army Veteran. Retired Vice President of manufacturing at EMGLO. Self employed owner of Saylor Industries. Frank never met a stranger and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need.  He was known for giving folded bow ties or Christmas trees made from dollar bills.  Frank’s mechanical mind was respected worldwide from air compressors, tractors, lawn mowers, hydraulics to moving his house with a washing machine motor.  A 56 year member of Somerset Masonic Lodge #358 and Harrisburg Scottish Rite. Frank remained strong and active until his recent accident. “He was a real Firecracker!” Friends received 3 to 7 pm Monday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday. Rev. Wes Yoder. Interment with military rites at Kaufman Cemetery, Davidsville. Masonic Service at 6:45 pm Monday at funeral home. (Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com)
