Truscello Sr. – Francis, M., 72, Cover Hill, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2026. Born on January 4, 1954 in Johnstown, son of Rocco W. and Betty (Doughtery) Truscello. Preceded in death by his parents; son, John, and sister, Maureen Truscello.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene R. (Marhefka) Truscello; children, Francis Jr. (Wendy), Johnstown, Apryle L. Truscello, Cover Hill, and Ryan (Shelby) Gartrell, Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Kacie (Clayton) Watson, Nathan (Emily) Smith, Gabby Truscello, Reed, Logan, and Lilly Gartrell; great grandsons, Caden, Carter, and Owen Watson; brother, Rocco J. (Jan) Truscello, Johnstown; several nephews, and special buddy, Coco.

Francis was a 1972 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School, where he served on the school board for over 20 years. He was also on the IU8 Board, and was a Fire Police Captain and was active with the sub sales, fund raising, calls, and public service with the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. Francis also volunteered at Cover Hill Volunteer Fire. Francis also was an usher at Penn State home games. He was also an active member of The Red Knights Motorcycle Club; 4th Degree all Saints Assembly Knight of Columbus #954, and Daisytown Sportsmen’s Club. Francis was employed at Bethlehem Steel, Sani-Dairy and later retired from Ribblett Bus Company after over 20 years of service as a Driver/Mechanic. He enjoyed playing the machines at various clubs and attending gun raffles. Francis loved watching his granddaughter, Gabby and all of her sports and activities, but especially loved spending time with his family and will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and unlimited stories. He’s finally free of pain!

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of Blessing Service at 4 p.m. on Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Innurnment will be at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
