Horner, Floyd I., “Pete”, 80, of Geistown. Died Jan. 9, 2011, at home. Born May 22, 1930 in Richland Township. Son of the late George and Margaret (Claycomb) Horner. Also preceded in death by sisters; Illene Croyle and Ruth Hilbrecht; brothers, Roy, Paul “Shorty”and Forrest “Sonny”. Survived by wife of 25 years, Nancy J. (Gary) Horner; children, Michelle Freeman, Virginia; Karen Kovach, Texas; and Jeff Horner, married to the former Pam Berg, Texas; stepchildren, Mark Kessler, married to the former Ann Hartoon, Colorado; and Jacqueline (Kessler), married to William Kelly, Lewisburg. Grandsons, Stuart and Channing Freeman, Jon and Todd Kovach, Joshua and Tyler Horner. Step Granddaughters, Melody and Allison Kessler, Jane and Lilliana Kelly. Great Grandson Jaden Kovach. Brother of Eva Reighard and William, married to the former Dee Riddle, both of Johnstown. 1948 graduate of Richland High School. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.  Retired floor covering contractor of 40 years. Member of Grove Avenue United Methodist Church, and Past Commander of Richland American Legion, Post #849. Avid sports fan who especially loved the Steelers, Penguins, Pitt and Penn State. Authentic  Santa’s helper for many years. “Everybody knows Pete.”  Friends received from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday at Grove Avenue United Methodist Church. Rev. Edward Schoeneck, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
