Florence E. Barker

BARKER---Florence E, 99, of Richland, died February 1, 2022, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born October 7, 1922 in Tire Hill, daughter of Robert A. and May (Langford) Ashurst. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert, sisters, Ruth Lees and Evelyn Wiley and daughter-in-law, Barbara (Saylor) Barker. Survived by husband, Clair R. Barker and sons, Rian, Richland and Barry, Ligonier; grandchildren, Brett (Hilary), Caryn (Jim), Sean and Shane; great grandchildren, Harrison, Bentley and Heath; also, many nieces and nephews. Flo was retired from Penn Printing Co. with 30 years’ service. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Past president of Richland Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Somerset Co. Farm Women, Ride and Stride Walking Club and the local election board. She enjoyed crocheting and sharing it with friends, but mostly enjoyed seeing her great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-6 pm Friday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and again from 10 am until time of Funeral Service at 11 am Saturday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor Scott Klimke officiating. Private Interment, Richland Cemetery. Family suggests donation to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in memory of Flo.
