Eugene D Krupa

Eugene Donald Krupa, 76 of Elton passed away suddenly on Dec 22, 2010. He was born on June 17, 1934 in Conemaugh, Pa. Son of  John and Mary (Medvesky) Krupa. He is preceded in death by parents; brother Rudolph and sister  Mary Magdeline Hopper. Survived by loving wife Jean (Mateljan), daughter Pamela (Jeschonek) of Pittsburgh. Also survived by brother John Krupa of Richland Twp, Thomas Krupa of Irwin, PA and sister Dolores Kissel of Rockville, Md: also survived by by numerous nieces and nephew.  Eugene graduated from East Conemaugh High School and received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He served in the United States Army and was a respected faculty member of the English Dept. at Richland High School where he taught for 35 years. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in  Conemaugh. Friends and family will be received from 2-7 pm on Sunday and from 10-11 am Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Parastas will be sung. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at the Harris Funeral Home with Fr. Robert K. Yetsko, T.O.R. officiating. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery.
