Elwood M. Hoffman

Hoffman, Elwood M., “Woody”, 86 of Richland.  Died May 10, 2018 at Richland Woods.  Born August 14, 1931 in Salix.  Son of the late Herman and Agnes (Krise) Hoffman.  Also preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Rosemarie (Kovach), daughter Wanda Marie (Jerry Spiker) and siblings Ora Jean Wiggins, Marjorie Balogh, Audrey Sherrard, Garnett Burichin, Barbara Lane and Patricia Miller.  Survived by sons, Matthew (Nancy Yuhas), Cranberry Twp; and Timothy (Beth Ann Zupan); grandchildren, Daniel and Stephen (Danielle) Spiker, Alex, Madison and Brandon Hoffman and Lauren and Beaumont Hoffman; great grandchildren, Owen and James Spiker.  Brother of Donald (Marjorie) Hoffman and Mary Martha (Leonard) Seese; and Brother-in-law of Arlene Kovach.  Also, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.  1949 graduate of Adams High School.  Retired Production Superintendent from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Served as Richland Township Supervisor and Auditor.  Owner of Breezy Acres Farm in Richland Township for 50 years.  Elwood loved farming, hunting (with brother Don and family) and being outdoors.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where service will be held on Monday, May 14th at 10 AM. Matt, so sorry for the passing of your Dad. he was a very nice and good man! we enjoyed being neighbors with him when we lived at the Cardellino farm.
