Troup – Elsie F., “Honey”, 80, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2019. Born on April 9, 1939 in Jackson Township, daughter of the late, Charles Kelso Rummell and Bertha (Nyman) Modis Rummell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son, John David Swank; husband, Robert Dale Troup; fiancé, George McCurdy; brothers, Albert, Kelsie and Robert Rummell, Andrew, John and James Modis, Charles, Arthur, William and Ira Rummell; sisters, Violet Marie (Modis) Cadwallder, Bertha (Modis) Regula Cole, Margaret (Modis) Hamula, Dorothy (Rummell)Lingar, Virginia “Gaye” (Rummell) Hite Ford, Roslyn “Rhoda” (Rummell) Fry, Mary Lou (Rummell) Mechanic, Jean(Rummell) Davis; sister-in-law, Dane Rummell. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kimberly M. (James R. “Bob”) Gleason, Johnstown; grandson, David R. Gleason, Johnstown, and his fiancée, Gunta Nomme; sisters, Anna “Sis”  Rummell, wife of Donald Hildebrand, Vinco, Louise (Modis) Benko Young, Mechanicsburg; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and special sister-in-law, Patty Rummell Gay. Elsie retired from Jolly Roger Restaurant after numerous years of service as a waitress. She was a member of the Olympic Club and the ASPCA. Elsie enjoyed baking and long car rides. She loved vacationing with her late fiancé, George and getting visits from her family. At Elsie’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Home, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Private inurnment will be held at the family’s convenience. The family suggests contributions be directed to the ASPCA, 520 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018 or donate online to secure.aspca.org/ in memory of Elsie. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
