Elizabeth A. "Liz" Weaver

WEAVER---Elizabeth A. “Liz,” 93, Richland, passed away March 18, 2026 at home. Born February 2, 1933, in Johnstown, daughter of Anthony and Barbara (Rezek) Sterle. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert P. Weaver; sister, Emma Karalfa and brother-in-law, Charles; brother, John Sterle and sister-in-law Gertrude; and sister, Louise Sterle; nephews, Charles Karalfa Jr., Elizabeth Woznak, Barbara Felix, John Sterle Jr. and Anthony Sterle, and an infant brother and sister. Survived by children, Dianne Verostick married to Tim and son, Mark Weaver, all of Richland; grandchildren, Dr. Corey Verostick, married to Dr. Kirsten Wallmann, Salt Lake City; Nicole Weaver married to Tyler Arlington, Pittsburgh and Megan Weaver, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Arlington, Lukas Verostick, Ryker Arlington and Kendry Verostick. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Liz was a 1951 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. She was a member of the S.N.P.J. Lodge #3, and the East Hills Senior Center. She was a former member of the Rodoljub Singing Society. Member of St. Therese Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Senior Choir and Christian Mothers. Liz also played pinochle and duck pin bowling. She loved to go on bus trips and craft shows and enjoyed dancing, especially polkas and line dancing. Occasionally, she enjoyed trips with family to the casinos. Liz was last employed as a secretary for Turjan Construction where she worked for 37 years. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Committal, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
