LUCIEW—Elizabeth “Betty,” 93, Richland, passed away on September 19, 2023. Born May 25, 1930, in Windber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jeba (Rachel). Preceded in death by parents and sister, Ann Koot. Survived by husband of 74 years, Daniel G. Luciew Sr., children, Deborah A. McCoy, widow of James McCoy, Richland; Daniel G. Luciew Jr. and wife, Donna, Harrison City; grandchildren, Kristen Bowers, Jason McCoy, Marc McCoy, Michael Luciew, Diana Cardamone, Brian Luciew and Benjamin Luciew; and great-grandchildren, Eleana Hanelly, Angelina Cardamone, Anthony Cardamone, Vinny Cardamone, Ian Luciew and Charlotte Luciew. Betty became manager of the Highland Sewer and Water Authority and was an employee there for 35 years. She loved crossword puzzles, knitting and trips to Las Vegas. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, where Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Pastor David S. Peles. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Entombment, Richland Cemetery.
