Edward W. Konchan

Konchan, Edward W., 87, Richland Twp. Died Sept. 7, 2017, at Conemaugh medical Center. Born June 2, 1930, in Johnstown. Son of the late Joseph and Mary (Markum) Konchan. Preceded in death by son, Kim W. Konchan; siblings, Lee and Larry Konchan; Survived by wife of 65 years, Lois M. (Adams); sons, Chuck (Carol Freidhoff), Mark and Ken (Judy Buchkovich), all of Johnstown area; grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca, Dani, Amanda, Jaclyn, Amy and Makenna; and 13 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Kathy (Wingard) Konchan, wife of Kim.  Army Veteran of Korea. Retired plasterer. Member of Camp Sumac since founding in 1956. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially being with his grandchildren. Friends received 2-8 PM Monday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday. Rev. Keith Dunn, officiating.
