Dorothy L. Trotter

Trotter, Dorothy L., 86, of Richland Township, passed away on January 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born on August 16, 1924 in Mineral Point. Daughter of Albert and Katherine (Thompson) Bauer. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, William Joseph Bauer. Survived by step-mother, Dorothy Bauer, East Taylor Township; loving husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” J. Trotter, Richland Township; daughters, Debra wife of Randy Blough, Downingtown, PA, Denise wife of Robert Miller, Rochester Hills, MI, Lisa wife of Kris Kinter, Homer City, PA and Dara Lori wife of James Pepe, New Paris, PA; grandchildren, Michael, Kelly, David, Dara, Steve, Christopher, Daneale, Tim, Nichole, Jason, and Alena; great grandchildren, Dominic, Logan and Gavin; sisters, Thora wife of Russell Kerr, Heston, PA, Clair wife of Joe Yingling, East Taylor Township, Claudia wife of Keith Rager, Jackson Township, Cindy Bauer, Jackson Township and Connie wife of Albert Walek, Los Osos, CA; brother, Michael Bauer, East Taylor Township and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a 1942 graduate of Franklin High School. She was employed at Glenn A. Martin Aircraft in Baltimore during WW II. Dorothy returned to Johnstown after the war and met and married Bob on June 17, 1950. Both she and Bob traveled the world and had a wonderful life together. Dorothy loved her entire family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and one hour prior to service at 10 A.M. on Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.
