McQuaide, Dorothy M., “Dot”, 89, of Richland. Died July 1, 2021, at Richland Woods Assisted Care. Born Sept. 23, 1931 In Kittanning, PA. Daughter of the late Oswald and Mary (Maier) Gardina. Also, preceded in death by sons R. Tim and Brett McQuaide; grandson Shawn; granddaughter Ami, daughter in law, Marian (Richter) McQuaide and grandson in law, D.J. Shaffer. Survived by husband, Leland R.; grandchildren, Steve (Shannon), Michael and Jessica; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kathryn, Jacob, Erin, Austin, Alyssa, Shawn; and great- great grandson, Roman Shaffer; also, daughter in law, Kim (Miller) McQuaide.  A 1949 graduate of Apollo High School. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where she served as Youth Advisor, Adult Sunday School teacher, volunteered for many years at funeral dinners and led numerous religious retreats.  Also, served on board at Allegheny Lutheran Home and with Lutheran Church Women. Dot made a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be greatly missed. Friends received 3-7 pm Monday July 5, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 AM to time of service at 11 AM Tuesday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Pastor Scott Klimke, officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Family suggests for those who wish to donate to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in her memory.
