Donna Schellhammer

Schellhammer, Donna, 67, Turtle Creek, Pittsburgh, formerly of East Conemaugh. Died Mar. 23, 2018 in Pittsburgh. Born June 17, 1950, in Johnstown, Daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Risko) Labosky. Wife of 47 wonderful years to her only love Frank R. Schellhammer. Mother of precious beloved daughter Julie and furry companion dog Dusty. Sister to Andrew, Margaret Luther, Elaine Varmecky, Michael, Thomas, and Robert. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews on her side and Franks side. Best friend to Patty Scrima, Marianne Mulroy, Mary Louise Turano and many more. 1968 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. 1972 graduate of University of Pittsburgh. Donna worked in finance for Equibank in Pittsburgh. Donna was a person who tried to do what would please God, in spite of her human weaknesses. She was passionate about a number of things such as reading, music, sewing, food, people and animals. She liked to make people laugh as much as she liked to laugh. She loved ice cream as long it was smooth and creamy. She had pet peeves like coats on the back of chairs, unclosed doors and drawers, inconsiderate drivers, and illogical people. She was an active member of St. James Catholic Church at 718 Franklin Ave, Wilkinsburg for over 35 years. She and Frank were loving foster parents to 13 children which led to adopting Julie. She was an amazing woman who touched the lives of many and will be so very missed. Friends received from 10 AM to time of Funeral Mass at 11 AM Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church, Wilkinsburg. Additional viewing will be held 3-8 PM Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Family and friends will meet at Noon Thursday at Harris Funeral Home for procession to Oak Cemetery in Daisytown for Committal Service.
