Dixie R. Pebley

Pebley, Dixie R., 80, Richland Township. Went to be with the Lord July 14, 2017, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born September 12, 1936, in East Conemaugh. Daughter of the late Robert R. and Esther P. (Parks) Given. Preceded in death by sister, Betty L. Boring (Frank); and nephews, David M. Hicks and Aaron C. Coyle. Survived by daughter Roxanne P. (Steven) Gross, McKinney, TX; and son, A. David (Elizabeth) Pebley, Waynesburg, PA; grandchildren, Billy Joe Pebley, Coraopolis, PA; Nikita Gross and Isaac Gross. McKinney, TX; sisters, Janet (David) Pavlo, Salix, PA; and Roxanne (Stephen) Warner; special niece, Gina; great niece, Cheyann; and great nephew, Preston, all of Johnstown; and many other loving nieces and nephews. Dixie was a 1954 graduate of East Conemaugh High School, where she was senior class secretary. Retired from MET Life and was also an employee of Schraders Florist & Greenhouse and Home Instead. Dixie loved to eat lunch at Valley Dairy and enjoyed everything butterflies. She enjoyed babysitting and spending time with Cheyann and Preston. Dixie also enjoyed many activities with her sister Janet. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Special thank you to the staff at Arbutus Park Manor, especially Alan; and AseraCare Hospice for their special care and compassion.
