Deborah J. "Debbie" Lovekin

Deborah J. Lovekin, 70, of Mineral Point, passed away peacefully at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital with her son, Richard at her side following a brief illness. Born on March 28, 1952 she was the daughter of late Ira S. Lovekin and Doris J. (Price) Lovekin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Michele D. (Lovekin) Parkinson and son Ryan D. Lovekin. Debbie was a 1970 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School and had been employed close to 30 years at Cambria County Association of the Blind and Handicapped. Debbie had a big personality with an even bigger heart. She loved her family, friends, her job and her animals at a level that was unmatched. She was an avid animal lover and held her pets near to her heart. Debbie loved the Steelers, to be outdoors, gardening, crafting, cooking and baking for everyone she could. She loved to make people laugh and always made sure her opinion was known. She is survived by her son Richard W. Lovekin and his wife Kristi (Friedeberg) Lovekin of Sandusky OH, brother-in-law Jeffery H. Parkinson of Elizabethtown, nephew Kevin S. Parkinson of Elizabethtown, niece Christina A. “Kristy” (Parkinson) Stouffer and husband Joshua P. Stouffer of Elizabethtown. Also including three great nieces Kailey, Brooklyn and Liliana Stouffer also of Elizabethtown, as well as many extended family and friends, and those friends she held close to her heart like chosen family. Friends and family will be received from 9 a.m. until time of Memorial service at 11am, Friday April 14, 2023 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, with Pastor Zachary Yonko officiating.
