He was an Air Force veteran and worked as an educator for 30 years as a teacher, principal, superintendent, and adjunct professor. Later in life, he served his community with a focus to create opportunities for those who live and work in Cambria County. He was the Director of Community and Economic Development-Chief Planner and Grant Writer and later as Chief Clerk/Chief of Staff. He was the president of Allegheny Development Group, LLC, the executive director of the Forest Hills Regional Alliance, and he enthusiastically volunteered his services as an advisor and board member to Adams Township Authority and Adams Township Zoning Authority.
