Daniel C. Crum

CRUM--Daniel C., 72, Johnstown, passed away on April 4, 2023. Born on January 13, 1951 in Johnstown, son of  Melvin Jr. and Elizabeth (Toki) Crum; Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Karen R. (Benna) Crum; second wife, Andrea (Savering) Crum, and brother, Bruce. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer L. (Matthew) Gallatin, Red Lion, PA, and Jacqueline E. Crum, Altoona, PA; son, Andrew M. Savering, Manor, PA; grandchildren, Jadyn E., Johnathan M., and Sophia M. Crum; Ayden C. Gallatin, and Ian, Emma, Kassidy and A.J. Savering; brother, Douglas (Beezie) Crum, Johnstown; several nieces, nephews and his beloved grand-dogs, Piper and Lucy. Dan was a 1968 graduate of Richland High School. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran. He retired in 2013 from Johnstown Steel Corporation where he was employed as a crane operator for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Dan loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. At Dan’s request, there will be no public viewing. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of the celebration of his life at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor James Gay officiating.
