D. Jean Holt-Pellon

HOLT-PELLON – D. Jean, 96, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on Mar. 28, 2023 at Windber Woods. Born on February 6, 1927 in Wellsboro, PA, daughter of Homer D. and Mary Emma (Witherow) Campbell. Preceded in death by her parents; first husband of 43 years, Dr. Donald I. Holt; 2^nd husband of 18 years, Gerald G. Pellon; sister, Betty E. Borden; and son-in-law, Henry “Jake” Boyd Moore. She is survived by her loving children, Nancy L. Moore, Richland Township and James B. Holt and wife, Yanzhi, Pittsburgh, and his sons, Andrew and Austin; grandsons, Shawn and wife, Inna Moore, Jeff Moore and wife, Jill, and their children, Danny and Isabelle (J.R.), all of Johnstown. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean was a 1945 graduate of Wellsboro High School. She was employed as an assistant at her family’s businesses. Jean was a former member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Davidsville and currently a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed board games and playing cards with her friends and neighbors. Jean also enjoyed music, crafts, reading, surfing the internet, and watching TCM. Jean and Jerry loved dancing and spending their winters in FL. Jean and first husband Don spent decades camping during the summer in Ebensburg. She was a fun-loving gal, who liked to make people laugh. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Adams, officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. Jean’s family would like to thank the many compassionate caregivers at both Richland Woods and Windber Woods.
