DUMAN---Cheri L., 72, Windber, passed away March 10, 2021 at Richland Healthcare. Born Sept. 2, 1948, in Johnstown, daughter of Harold and Hulda M. (Bloom) Horner. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph Dean Duman Jr. and granddaughter, Destiny. Survived by children, Reed Karnes (Christine), Dallas, GA; Dayla Ruyle (John), Shreveport, LA; Denise Pursley (Stacey), Mt. Juliet, TN; Daniel Duman (Shelly), Aragon, GA; grandchildren, Dewey, Audrianna, Gregory, Reed Jr., Brittney, Joseph, Dillon, Chance, Patrick and Andrea; and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Ronald Horner, Jay Horner and David Horner. Cheri and her husband enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and horses. She also enjoyed her Jack Russell terriers. A celebration of Cheri’s life will be held at a later date. Committal, Horner Cemetery, Windber. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the ASPCA.org in memory of Cheri L. Duman. I exchanged thoughts with Cheri after my husband, Joe died in 2015. She was a great comfort and her messages were always full of cheer. I hope she has found her Joe. I will miss her. Condolences to all who loved her.

Cheri and I were more than classmates. We were the best of friendsthrough High School. I lived in an apartment complex behind where she and her family lived on Luther Rd. I will miss her smiling face and our discussions about our studies from school.R.I.P. (SIS) Cheri.
